Programmer invents non-moving car, claims "premature optimization is the root of all evil"
An ambitious software engineer Nathan Zander, native of Northern California, decided to get into one of the most difficult industries: car manufacturing. To help the transition, Nathan is taking advantage of his extensive experience developing software.
His first car is already on sale. Filled with many great features, fully extensible and infinitely customizable, the new car has only one minor disadvantage: its maximum speed is limited to 0 km per hour (note for readers from US: it is 0 miles per hour).
Nathan comments:
Any decent developer knows that optimizing the engine, responsible for the forward movement of the car, is a bad idea at this moment. Premature optimization is the root of all evil!
